Started in 1992 and first released in 1993, Slackware is the oldest surviving commercial Linux distribution.

This site is a tool to engage community to help others use, learn, build and contribute to Slackware. But it's not an official resource. We'll try to sync the work we do here with the other community channels, but consider this site content our opinion as community members.


Flavours

Both flavours are released for various architectures: 32bit and 64bit X86 and some ARMs (Raspberry PI included). There is also a port to OS/390 (a work in progress)
